UNIVERSITY CERTIFICATES. I am hereby presenting two proficiency in English certificates which were awarded in São Paulo , Brazil , in 1978. I will give a short account of how I took the exams in Hong Kong in 1947 and 1948 and in São Paulo in 1977. I taught English at a privated Business English school in São Paulo in 1976, the director of the course asked me to show my credentials. I explained that I had taken the exams of Proficiency in English in Hong Kong in 1947/1948 from the University of Cambridge , London University and H.K. University , and I told him that I had lost all of them! He suggested that I take the exams again in São Paulo at Alumni ( Michigan ) and at Cultura Inglesa ( Cambridge ). I inscribed for the exams and took them in 1977, 30 years after I had taken the same tests in Hong Kong .
In 1978 I was awarded the "Grade A" CPE certificate of the University of Cambridge, in the same year I received a certificate from The English Language Institute of the University of Michigan, with "Honors'. You may see these documents which are reproduced with this short article. I have already published these images in a small weekly in Macaé, but I thought that by posting them online at www.jornalorebate.com they (the certificates) would call the attention of thousands of Brazilian students who are studying English in Macaé today. Quite a few of my students in Macaé, from 1979 till 2002 have passed their TOEFL, Michigan and Cambridge exams. Thaís, one of my best students, passed her Cambridge exam in 2002 and today she is a highly respected employee of Petrobras because of her extensive university curriculum.
NEOLOGISM. If you looked up the strange word 'urlographer' at GOOGLE, you may find 15 (fifteen) hits only. If you digited the initials URL you will see that the score is over 900 million! Well, up till today, the 28th. of February 2007, I am the only urlographer in the world. From now onwards, there may be many more entries and this new word may be adopted in the future my many new urlographers! Why have I coined this new word? I am a photographer, I use light to register/write images. I use URLs (Universal Resource Locators) to do my internet research via GOOGLE, an activity of mine ever since the late 1990s. There are many neologisms in computing terminology today, and it seems that I have 'coined' a new word in this field of activity. I use URLs constantly every single day to locate new resources to do my research on many issues, via the internet, therefore I introduced a new word in the English language: 'urlographer'.

I came across this story: " US 's Iraq Oil Grab Is A Done Deal".
Columnist Pepe Escobar is a Brazilian journalist, he is a well known
professional who is based in Hong Kong. In this interesting story he
explains what "PSA" means in Iraq! It is the Production Sharing
Agreements which are controlled by the people who are appointed by the
big oil companies. Dick Cheney had set the guideline for the war in the
Middle East because oil is abundant in that area and because it is
cheap! Will the oil be also cheap in Iran? Read the full story, which
